Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

By using Lumio Notebook ("the service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Your content

You keep all rights to the recordings, documents, notes and other material you use with the service. You give us permission to process that material only as needed to provide the features you use (for example, sending text to our AI provider to write your notes). Only use material you have the right to use, and respect your school's and lecturers' rules about recording classes.

AI-generated content

Notes, summaries, translations, flashcards, quizzes and chat answers are generated by AI and can contain mistakes or omissions. Check important information against the original source before relying on it. Lumio is a study aid; it does not replace your own judgment.

Acceptable use

Your data and backups

Your notebook is stored in your browser. We are not able to restore it if your browser data is cleared or your device is lost, so export backups from Settings regularly. Shared notes are stored on our servers until they are removed.

Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is" and may change, be interrupted, or have usage limits. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Lumio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service.
